Chicago's only Portuguese-Macanese restaurant.
“Imagine a love triangle between paella, bouillabaisse,
and bibimbap and you get the idea.” Andrew Knowlton,
Bon Appétit, August 12, 2013.
The comfort food in this restaurant is multi-culturally Influenced combining ingredients and styles from Portugal, China, India and South East Asia – a true feast.
Owner Adrienne Lo, dropped by our table to walk through the ingredients and flavours to be discovered in this rare Euro-Asian cuisine. Her passionate descriptions of the food and its preparation made us want to try everything on the menu – which we just about did.
The signature dish- rroz gordo (fat rice) is a must. Rice is layered into a clay pot stuffed with prawns, clams, sauages, chicken, hard boiled eggs and sweet peppers. Deeply aromatic and earthy – it’s deeply fortifying home style food.
No reservations are accepted, you’ll need to wait and it is so worth it. Enjoy appetizers and cocktails on the patio while you savour the aromas wafting from the kitchen.
Booking a trip to Chicago, plan your agenda around this outstanding restaurant.

TIP: Cha gordo (fat tea) – try the newly launched take on dim sum
on the weekends!
